Wedges: Large, Medium,
Small
The Unishape Wedge is the foundation of
the Wedge-Plus System. They may be
selected individually or with other Unishape
pieces to form the Wedge-Plus Module.
The Wedge is used to achieve positive body
alignment to optimize posture. Unishape
wedges may be used for round the clock
positioning or as a comfortable environment
to facilitate rest and relaxation by offering an
alternative to the wheel chair or other
seating systems. Positive positioning with
the wedge encourages head & trunk
elevation in prone and supine, weight
bearing on upper extremities, and active or
passive range of motion. The 908 Small
Wedge can also be used as a Shim for leg
and head positioning when attached to other
Unishape pieces. Add Half Unirolls to
any
wedge for lateral support.

Multi-Purpose
UniBlock: Large, Medium,
Small
The Multi-Purpose UniBlock series can be
used as an independent positioning block for
Quad/Four Point or attach any UniBlock
to a
Wedge using our adjustable UniHook
fastener to build a Wedge-Plus Module and
extend the Wedge to accommodate growth
of an individual. Positive positioning with the
Multi-Purpose UniBlock provides Weight
bearing, Shoulder, Neck and Head
extension, Hip and knee flexion, and the
opportunity for vibration, percussion and suction. |

Double
Incline Wedge
You will find our Double Incline Wedge
series to be a handy and versatile tool in
your positioning toolbox. Made with sides of
uneven lengths to accommodate different
size individuals, these pieces can be
used independently or attached to the base
of a Wedge to build another Wedge-Plus
module using the adjustable UniHooks. In
the Supine position, it provides hip and knee
flexion. Combine with an Abductor and/or
Half UniRolls for leg abduction and proper
alignment. Add a Half UniRoll on the bottom
for weight bearing through feet and legs. In
Prone, provide prone kneeling and modified
prone standing with head and neck
extension, weight bearing and positioning
for function. |

Head Positioner
Our 921 Double Incline Wedge with a Head
cut-out allows for rotation and encourages
head to Mid-Line. This is a shape with unlimited
possibilities. We find it being used for arm and leg positioning
as well as a holder for Assistive Technology switches that
can be activated by the head. |

UniRoll
We call this series of shapes the Half UniRoll. Available
in various lengths and diameters for a multitude of uses. Attach
via the UniStrip to a Wedge or a Double Incline for
Lateral Trunk Support, use as a shim to inhibit the development of scolio
curve or to compensate for different leg lengths, or as a
Spacer to achieve postural alignment. Available
in full or half lengths to suit just about any need. Full length
Half UniRolls come with the UniHook on each end to attach
as a Head Positioner or attach as a
Foot Positioner for weight bearing and dorsal
flexion and to modify windswept condition of
legs. |
